  1. What Data protection processes/procedures do you have in place to ensure the security of sensitive customer data? Have you had any data breaches? If yes, provide details and corrective actions.

  2. Do you have capabilities in Data protection and Security standards such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA ?

  3. What process do you have in place to remove / destroy the Customer’s data at the completion of the project?

  4. What processes/procedures are in place to protect Customer’s intellectual property?

  5. Do you have all your staff sign and execute NDA, Confidentiality agreement ?

  6. Provide a list of companies in the various industry domains you work with. Kindly mention 3-5 contact details as customer references.

  7. Provide your company’s financial statements for last 3 years.

  8. Explain how your organization addresses planned and unplanned workforce scalability (ramping up and ramping down) at the project/engagement level? Provide examples of recent engagements that required a quick ramp-up. Provide details regarding how the ramp-up was accomplished.

  9. Do you allow work from home ? what productivity and security measures you have in place to ensure that staff WFH are aware of Do’s and Do not’s and the overall progress is not compromised.

  10. What incremental risks you have identified for WFH ?

  11. Do you have any specific Work from home metrics that are currently in use for Software development projects ?

  12. Describe COE's (centers of excellence) developed to support the software development life cycles supported. Which Software re-usable components these COE's have developed ? Do our projects get to use these Software components ?

  13. Do we get the source code of these reusable components ? Who owns the IP ? do you have any policies for white labeling such artifacts ?

  14. Describe your requirements (educational certificates, years of experience, nonacademic certifications around technology and project management) for the various staff levels you typically envisage to be part of our engagement.

  15. Describe the various software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies your company follows for offshore development projects?

  16. Provide examples of projects that have utilized each of the above methodologies.

  17. How much of your organization delivers project based on Agile Development ?

  18. How much is the penetration of DevOps practices into your Software Development execution.

  19. What processes/procedures have been developed to address process capability maturity mismatches between your organization and customer?

  20. What are the different testing methodologies that your team is familiar with ?

  21. Do you have a dedicated SQA team that will be assigned to this engagement ? is this chargeable to the customer ?

  22. Do you have a process engineering team that provides the guidance on process maturity and continuous improvements to the engagement ? are these resources efforts charged to the customer ?

  23. Over the last 3 years, what percentages of the Customers’ project were delivered on-schedule? Ahead of schedule? For those projects delivered early or late, provide detail list of the lessons learned.

  24. In a typical Software development project, what impediments or roadblocks are frequently encountered between your project teams and Customer organization? What roles do you expect Customer to play in addressing these roadblocks?

  25. Do you maintain and plan for efforts needed to address such roadblocks at the time of Project initiation ?
